Bells Animal Clinic is seeking an outgoing, responsible individual that loves dogs and cats to join our technician staff.
Job Description:
·Prep and assist in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures.
·Preform laboratory test and radiographs.
·Operate and maintain hospital equipment – IV pumps, EKG, scales, laboratory machines, anesthetic monitors and machines.
·Assist veterinarian in anesthetizing animals and monitoring during surgeries.
·Properly restrain/handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments.
·Fill prescriptions and administer medications.
·Pull blood – cephalic and jugular.
·Place IV and urinary catheters.
·Interact with clients and animals while collecting medical information.
·Maintain cleanliness in exam rooms and cages after each patient.
·Maintain a clean and sanitary surgery area and equipment.
·Communicate and approach job duties in a mature manner.
Job Requirements:
·Able to handle all sizes of animals and temperaments in a calm and professional manner.
·Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
·Demonstrate a strong work ethic, dependability, patience, and communicate effectively.
·Expected to work some weekends and holidays – no exceptions.
·Degree or certification not required but preferred.
·Work experience preferred but not required – will train.
·Must be 18 years or older.
