Managing Veterinarian — Grow Into Leadership with Support
Southside Veterinary Clinic in Clarksville, Tennessee
Ready to take the next step in your career but haven't had the chance to lead yet? This is that opportunity.
Southside Veterinary Clinic is a well-established small animal practice with a loyal, healthy client base and the equipment to match great medicine — digital radiography, ultrasound, in-house lab, and laser therapy. We're looking for a Managing Veterinarian, and we're just as interested in a strong clinician ready to grow into leadership as we are in someone who's already led a team.
You don't need a leadership resume to apply. You need to be a solid vet who's curious about what's next. Our divisional leadership team will mentor you directly through the business, operational, and people-management side of the role so you can build those skills on the job, not before you get the job.
Why This Role
- A real mentorship path, not just a title. You'll work closely with our divisional leadership team as you grow into the medical leadership side of the practice.
- A practice built for success. A healthy, established client base and a fully-equipped hospital mean your growth here isn't starting from scratch, and that supports your earning potential too.
- Room to lead your way. You'll partner with the Hospital Manager on operations while keeping your hands in clinical work and mentoring associate vets and staff.
- A genuine next step, for someone who's ready for more responsibility but hasn't had the chance to prove it yet.
Facility & Services
- 4 exam rooms
- Small animal medicine and surgery
- Pain management and laser therapy
- Digital radiography and ultrasound
- Fully stocked pharmacy
- In-house laboratory
What You'll Do
- Lead medical and surgical case management and help set the standard of care for the practice
- Mentor and support associate veterinarians and staff, with mentorship of your own from divisional leadership along the way
- Partner with the Hospital Manager on day-to-day operations, budgeting, and performance goals
- Ensure regulatory compliance and strong client communication
- Help drive client satisfaction and practice growth, backed by an already-strong client base
What We're Looking For
- DVM (or equivalent) from an accredited program
- Active Tennessee license (or ability to obtain) and DEA license
- 3+ years of clinical experience
- No prior formal leadership experience required. We're looking for the drive to grow into it, backed by strong communication and organizational skills
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary + bonus incentives
- Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)
- CE allowance, PTO, and professional dues coverage
- Direct mentorship from divisional leadership as part of your growth into the role
