Black Forest Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing small animal practice. Whether you're a credentialed technician (RVT/CVT/LVT) or an experienced veterinary professional without credentials, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do
As a Veterinary Technician, you'll have the opportunity to utilize a wide variety of technical and client care skills, including:
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, diagnostics, surgery, and dental procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical preparation and recovery
- Perform laboratory testing, radiography, venipuncture, and IV catheter placement
- Administer medications and treatments as directed
- Monitor hospitalized patients and provide compassionate nursing care
- Educate clients on preventive care, medications, and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records
- Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
- Assist with inventory management and maintaining hospital cleanliness
- Support reception duties and client checkout when needed
Our technicians are highly utilized and often work directly alongside a doctor throughout the day while also supporting surgery and hospitalized patients.
What We're Looking For
- Previous Veterinary Technician experience required
- Credentialed Veterinary Technicians (RVT/CVT/LVT) encouraged to apply, but not required
- Strong technical skills including anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures, and patient handling
- Comfortable working in both appointments and surgery
- Excellent communication and client service skills
- Self-motivated, dependable, and adaptable
- Team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for providing exceptional patient care
Schedule
- Full-Time or Part-Time opportunities available
- Typical hospital hours: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Rotating Saturdays required
- Most team members work four 10-hour shifts, though schedules may vary based on hospital needs
Compensation & Benefits
- $20–$28/hour, based on experience and credentials
- Sign-On Bonus for full-time employees: $500, paid after 90 days of employment, 1-year clawback
