Riverview Animal Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a full-service 10+ doctor veterinary office, we offer state-of-the-art diagnostics, advanced care, routine and advanced surgical procedures, laproscopy, ultrasound, rehabilitation and many other services to provide our pet community with the best care. Located in beautiful Durango!

Registered Veterinary Technician Role Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician Certification or Licensure (CVT, RVT, LVT) or the ability to transfer credentials from state to state.
  • Experienced Non Certified applicants may be considered

Registered Veterinary Technician Responsibilities

  • Professional client communication and education, obtaining medical histories and symptoms along with electronic medical record keeping skills.
  • Laboratory procedures preparing or preforming: hematology, cytology, urinalysis, blood chemistry, and fecals.
  • Diagnostic imaging
  • Nursing skills including: restraining patients, administering medications. PO/IV/SQ/IM, applying bandages, proficient IV catheter placement and venipuncture.
  • Assists the Veterinarian in medical and surgical. Performs dental prophylaxis, dental x-rays, surgery prep, and anesthesia monitoring.

Compensation

  • The base hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00. Our pay ranges are primarily determined by role and level of responsibilities. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and additional factors such as relevant education or training.
  • Position eligible for a periodic PAW bonus
  • Position eligible for shift stipend
  • Must be willing to rotate weekend and evening shifts - Stipend available
