· Established community-based veterinary hospital serving Galveston for 48+ years
· 5-doctor small animal practice with a growing exotics caseload
· Long-tenured team (many team members with 5–20+ years)
· Recently renovated facility with updated equipment and treatment spaces
· Equipped with modern diagnostics, including digital radiology, dental equipment, and IDEXX in-house lab systems
· Flexible, individualized approach to technician roles based on skills and interests

What You’ll Do
· Assist veterinarians with exams, diagnostics, treatments, and client education
· Administer medications, vaccines, and IV fluids
· Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and run laboratory tests
· Take and process radiographs
· Prepare patients for surgery, monitor anesthesia, and support recovery
· Maintain accurate patient records and communicate treatment plans with clients
· Support hospitalized patient care, including occasional weekend/evening treatments
· Help maintain inventory, equipment, and treatment areas
· Technicians at our hospital are highly involved in patient care, with opportunities to focus on surgery, exam rooms, or a mix of both depending on experience and preference.

What We’re Looking For
· Veterinary Technician experience preferred (3+ years ideal), but not required
· Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT) a plus, but not required
· Strong technical skills in anesthesia, diagnostics, and patient handling
· Ability to multitask and stay organized in a high-volume environment
· Comfortable working with a variety of species, including dogs, cats, and exotics
· Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
· Passion for patient care and willingness to take an active role in the hospital

Schedule
· Open to Full-Time or Part-Time
· Hospital Hours: Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM; Saturday: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
· Occasional weekend/evening care for hospitalized patients as needed. Rotational scheduling with weekend shifts every 4 – 6 weeks.
· Typically structured as 4x10-hour shifts, depending on role and hospital needs
