Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Veterinary Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our clients. This role is essential to keeping our practice running smoothly and ensuring a positive experience for every visitor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and patients warmly, in person and by phone

  • Schedule appointments and manage the daily calendar

  • Check clients in and out; process payments accurately

  • Maintain client and patient records in the practice management system

  • Handle multi-line phones, emails, and prescription requests

  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians and technicians

  • Maintain a clean, organized front desk and lobby area

  • Provide compassionate support to clients during stressful or emotional situations

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Previous receptionist or customer service experience preferred

  • Veterinary or medical office experience a plus

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to multitask in a busy environment

  • Basic computer skills and comfort learning new software

  • Compassion for animals and their owners
