Mentorship & Support for New Graduates

Starting your veterinary career is exciting—and you don’t have to do it alone.

New graduates joining Family Pet Clinic will participate in the NVA Mentorship Program, designed to provide additional guidance, connection, and support as you transition from veterinary school into practice.

The program includes:

• One-on-one surgical and medical support from Dr. Jodi Long, current President of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association and a Texas mentor.
• Wellness programming focused on stress management and developing a balanced, sustainable veterinary career.
• A cohort of other new-graduate veterinarians across Texas, with opportunities for social events, team bonding, and professional connection.
• Leadership development and continuing education stipend support.
• Ongoing opportunities to ask questions, develop confidence, and grow your clinical skills.

Because Family Pet Clinic is currently a one-doctor practice, with its veterinarian nearing her 10-year anniversary with the clinic, this position offers the opportunity to join a well-established practice with a strong foundation of client relationships, community trust, and continuity of care.
