Veterinary Student Externship – The KAAWS Clinic
📍 Houston, TX | High-Volume Surgery | up to $1,000 Travel Stipend

Sharpen your surgical skills and grow your clinical confidence at The KAAWS Clinic—Houston’s trusted high-volume spay/neuter and wellness center. Our externship program offers veterinary students a unique opportunity to dive into efficient, high-quality medicine under the guidance of a seasoned surgical team.

Led by a highly experienced Medical Director specializing in high-volume surgery, our clinic provides an exceptional training ground for students interested in building strong surgical foundations. You'll gain real-world experience with high caseloads in a supportive, fast-paced setting.

Externship Highlights:
? Hands-on Surgical Experience: Perform and assist with spays and neuters (based on skill and comfort level)
🔬 Exposure to physical exams, diagnostics, treatment planning, dental procedures, and preventive care
? One-on-one mentorship from our DVMs and experienced support staff
🗣️ Opportunities to develop communication skills with clients and the veterinary team

Program Details:
📅 minimum 2 weeks, up to 4 week externships available, depending on student/hospital schedules
🎓 Open to 3rd and 4th year veterinary students
💰 up to $1,000 travel/living stipend available for students in their clinical year
