Full-Time Client Service Representative / Receptionist

Arroyo Vista Veterinary Hospital is a busy, full-service small animal hospital in Moorpark, CA, and we are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and team-oriented Client Service Representative to join our front desk team full-time.

Our reception team is the heart of our hospital. They help create a welcoming experience for clients and patients while keeping the day running smoothly in a fast-paced veterinary environment. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and animals, communicates confidently under pressure, and can successfully multitask during busy shifts.

Applicants must be available for the following shifts

  • 3 weekdays: 8:00AM - 6:00PM
  • Saturdays: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM

We run on a 4-day work week - you will be scheduled 3, 9-hour week days and 1, 5-hour Saturday. Schedules are the same each week and do not alternate. You will average about 32-35 hours per week and be considered a full-time employee and eligible for all benefits.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Answering multiple phone lines professionally and efficiently
  • Scheduling appointments and helping manage daily hospital flow
  • Greeting clients and checking patients in and out
  • Processing payments, refill requests, insurance claims, and client communications
  • Responding to emails and text messages promptly and professionally
  • Differentiating between routine and urgent/emergency situations
  • Communicating clearly with doctors, technicians, assistants, and clients
  • Maintaining accurate records and entering information into the computer system
  • Opening and closing the office independently when needed

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary hospital required
  • (Receptionist, Veterinary Assistant, or Veterinary Technician experience accepted)
  • Strong computer, phone, email, and text communication skills
  • Experience handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a busy environment
  • Ability to stay professional and positive during stressful situationsPhysical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs with or without assistance
  • Comfortable working around animal odors, noise, waste, and cleaning products
  • Possible exposure to scratches, bites, and contagious illnesses inherent to veterinary medicine
