The Veterinary Assistant is an essential member of the Springbrook Animal Care Center team, supporting veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other hospital team members in providing compassionate, safe, and efficient patient care. The Veterinary Assistant assists with outpatient appointments, hospitalized patients, treatments, surgery, laboratory and diagnostic procedures, medication preparation, client communication, and hospital operations.
The Veterinary Assistant is expected to provide a positive experience for every patient and client while maintaining a professional, collaborative, and respectful approach with coworkers. The position requires initiative, sound judgment within the scope of the role, attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced veterinary environment.
Veterinary Assistants are expected to follow hospital policies and procedures, work within their training and authorized scope of practice, and seek direction from a veterinarian or veterinary technician when situations are unfamiliar, fall outside their training, or require medical decision-making.

- Base hourly rate of $18.00 - $26.00 based on experience
