About Us:
Nolensville Veterinary Hospital has been serving the community since 1983, and have a brand new state of the art facility. Currently a 5-doctor practice, we are growing our team of veterinarians as well as technicians and support staff. We offer a variety of services, digital full body & dental radiographs, orthopedic & soft tissue surgeries, ultrasound & echocardiograms, endoscopy, cold laser therapy, vaccinations, and preventative care. Our doctors believe in training, teaching, and allowing all team members to fully utilize their skills. Our team promotes a safe environment to not only ask questions but voice your opinion. Job Summary:
The Medical Supervisor works directly with the Hospital Manager, Managing Veterinarians, and supporting medical staff. It is the Medical Supervisor’s priority to ensure quality patient care and maintain healthy and professional connections with the support staff. This individual has oversight of the veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, kennel technicians, and is an invaluable resource and leader for the doctoral and reception staff. It is the indivduals responsibility to ensure productivity and quality veterinary care at all times.
Job Responsibilities:
·Perform all duties of a Veterinary Technician including but not limited to: venipuncture, anesthesia intubation/monitoring, dentistry, radiology, pharmacology, and diagnositic analysis.
·Leads and mentors the medical staff while ensuring hospital protocols and policies are being followed at all times.
·Assist the Hospital Manager with creating and enforcing hospital standard operating procedures.
·Keep medical team accountable for their personal growth and skills.
·Delegates duties to medical staff to ensure efficiency and safety of daily tasks and medical procedures.
·Assist Hospital Manager with progress growth of each member of the medical staff including personal growth and corrective actions.
·Be an advocate for the medical team and patients at all times.
·Responsible for medical team schedule.
·Responsible for majority of inventory of the medical department.
·Maintenance and troubleshoot medical equipment.
·Act as liaison between medical staff, receptionists, doctors, and clients.
·Primary vendor contacts for laboratory services, machine services, and medical supplies.
·Responsible for training and supervising medical staff, interns, and volunteers on medical treatments, protocols, and daily work flow tasks.
·Maintain Tennessee DEA records for controlled substances and inventory.
·Promote hospital growth while maintaining healthy culture.
·Assist Hospital Manager with hiring new medical team candidates.
·Provide consistent communication and input to the Hospital Manager to keep them informed of site situations, staff, intern, and volunteer concerns, continuing or developing employee performance issues, and needs, and workload concerns, etc.
Skills and Basic Qualifications
·Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred but not required.
·Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician.
·Along with a positive attitude and a high degree of energy, qualified candidates will have excellent communication skills, the ability to lead and motivate a team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants, and work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
·Ability to effectively handle and control aggressive animals.
·Models a professional and courteous manner with staff and clients.
·Commitment to ongoing educational development and growth.
·Must have active listening, critical thinking, complex problem solving, time management, judgment and decision making skills.

Anticipated Schedule:
·Full time-40 hour work week, typical week would be days between M-F 8am-6pm
·Work rotating Saturdays, potential to work Sundays for hospitalized patients
·Normal business hours are M-F 7:30am – 6pm; Sa 8:00am – 12pm; Sun Closed
Compensation:
·Here at Nolensville, we don’t believe in a standard starting rate of pay, we believe that each team member should be compensated based on their knowledge, skills, and experiences.
