As a Hybrid Veterinarian, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy the variety and professional growth that come with practicing both general and emergency veterinary medicine.

One shift might involve preventive care, dental procedures, and scheduled surgeries. Your next could include urgent diagnostics, emergency stabilization, and complex medical cases.

OUR HOSPITAL

Animal Clinic of Rapid City has proudly served our community since 1958. In 2024, we opened the doors to our beautiful, new, state-of-the-art veterinary facility.

Our hospital features:

• 10 spacious examination rooms
• 2 dedicated comfort rooms with outdoor access
• 2 fully equipped small animal surgery suites
• Dedicated dental suite with 2 dental tables
• Large treatment area with an intensive care unit
• Separate canine and feline hospitalization areas
• Large oxygen cage
• Ultrasound, endoscopy, and orthopedic services
• Comprehensive general practice and 24/7 emergency veterinary care

As the only emergency veterinary hospital operating 24 hours a day within approximately 250 miles, our team plays an important role in providing essential veterinary services across the region.

Our ideal Hybrid Veterinarian:

• Enjoys both general practice and emergency veterinary medicine.
• Is comfortable managing a broad range of medical and surgical cases.
• Values collaborative medicine and open communication.
• Demonstrates excellent clinical judgment and compassion for patients and clients.
• Is adaptable, dependable, and comfortable transitioning between GP and ER responsibilities.
• Appreciates a team-oriented culture where veterinarians support one another.
• Is comfortable with a schedule that includes rotating weekends and some overnight shifts.
