Ridgetop Animal Hospital is looking for a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in Silverdale, Washington.
We’re a busy, progressive small-animal hospital combining high-quality general practice with same-day urgent care, advanced surgery, dentistry, and a diverse medical caseload. We take pride in practicing excellent medicine while giving our LVTs the opportunity to use the skills they’ve worked hard to develop.

What Makes Ridgetop Different?
Our LVTs see much more than routine wellness appointments. You’ll have the opportunity to work across preventative care, complex medical cases, urgent care, dentistry, anesthesia, hospitalized patient care, and advanced surgery.
Our surgical caseload includes procedures such as TPLO, lateral sutures, MPL and fracture repair, TECA, cystotomy, splenectomy, GI surgery, PU, FHO/DFO, amputations, and more.
Our hospital is equipped with digital radiography, in-house IDEXX diagnostics, dental radiography, advanced anesthesia monitoring, and therapeutic laser technology.
Most importantly, we want our LVTs to practice as LVTs. We value strong technical skills, clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and technicians who take ownership of patient care while working closely with our veterinarians and support team.

What You’ll Get to Do
As an LVT at Ridgetop, you’ll utilize your skills across all areas of patient care, including:
- Anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery
- Dentistry and comprehensive dental procedures
- IV catheter placement, venipuncture, and laboratory diagnostics
- Diagnostic radiography and patient positioning
- Medication administration, treatments, and fluid therapy
- Triage and same-day urgent care
- Nursing and monitoring of hospitalized patients
- Advanced orthopedic and soft-tissue surgical support
- Emergency nursing care, stabilization, and CPR when needed
- Client education and communication
- Mentoring and supporting veterinary assistants
- Advocating for Fear Free and individualized patient
care
Who We’re Looking For
Current Washington State Veterinary Technician License required.
We’re looking for an LVT who:
- Takes pride in excellent patient care and wants to continue learning
- Is confident using their technical skills and clinical judgment
- Enjoys both routine medicine and challenging cases
- Values Fear Free and low-stress handling
- Can prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Communicates openly and works collaboratively with doctors and teammates
- Knows when to work independently and when to ask for support
- Brings a positive attitude and sense of humor to the team
Experience with Avimark, IDEXX equipment, surgery, dentistry, urgent care, or advanced anesthesia is a plus, but not required. We’re equally interested in the right LVT who is excited to continue developing those skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- $29.00–$35.00/hour, depending on experience
- Eligible for periodic bonus, where applicable
