Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Medical Director to join our AAHA-accredited team! We can offer up to $50K in bonuses comprised of sign-on, retention, and relocation assistance if applicable, and the opportunity for a cash buy-in of up to 10% of the hospital. Located just 2 hours from the parks in Orlando, Vero Beach offers a relaxed atmosphere, affordability, and coastal living—where you can finish your shift and be at the beach in 10 minutes.

The Opportunity:


As the Medical Director at Vero Beach Veterinary Hospital, you will provide medical leadership for the hospital ensuring quality care is provided, while also managing associate veterinarians, and assuring regulatory compliance.  Alongside the Hospital Manager, you will oversee the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. Additionally, you and the Hospital Manager will oversee staff and the overall management of the practice, under the direction of National Veterinary Associates (NVA) Divisional Leadership.


Skills and Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience as a DVM
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university 
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which the applicant is to be employed 
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics

Compensation:
  • $185,000 base salary depending on experience
  • This position is eligible for production-based bonuses
  • Up to $50K in bonuses comprised of sign-on, retention, and relocation assistance if applicable.
