Veterinary Technician Supervisor

Supervises a group of Veterinary Technicians in a hospital or department, ensuring standards of nursing care are met and coordinating scheduling and training. 

Overview

Supervisors implement structure determined by department managers. 

1. Supports and develops leads.

2. Creates training structure.

3. Manages team member development. 

4. 1st level escalations for customer concerns.

Functional Responsibilities

1. Responsible for evaluating the efficiency of a day’s labor allocation and responsible for evaluating the need to send team members home early, call in additional team members, and/or alter upcoming shifts upon conferring with the department manager.

2. Conduct monthly lead meetings with leads.

3. Work with department manager on department goals and objectives. 

4. Have documented 1 on 1s with direct reports.

5. Commit to revenue driving behaviors, which measurably improve profitability for the practice .

7. Talent Development.

8. Other duties as assigned. 

Schedule

Full Time. 3x 12 hour shifts (Swing/night shifts). Weekends required.
