Your Role:

As a Veterinary Assistant at Waterbury, you’ll be an integral part of our medical team. Responsibilities include:

· Supporting veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, surgeries, and diagnostics

· Patient restraint, lab sample collection, and running in-house diagnostics

· Assisting with radiographs, dental cleanings, and surgical preparation

· Ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures

· Educating and communicating with pet owners

· Maintaining cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital

About You:

· You have 1+ years of veterinary assistant experience

· You have a basic understanding of medical terminology, animal behavior, and patient handling

· You’re eager to learn and grow alongside a collaborative team

· You’re proactive, dependable, and communicate well with clients and teammates

· You thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and are committed to compassionate care

Schedule:

· Typical Work Week: 4-day workweek with rotating half-day Saturdays (every 4–6 weeks)

· Shift Flexibility: Choose between 8- or 10-hour shifts

Compensation & Benefits:

· Compensation: $19 - $21/hr based on experiance
